Crinkled
Background
This would
be suitable for ATCS, Fat Book Pages etc or even for a
very special card if you have a bag big enough.
You will
need a very thin plastic bag and one layer of a
serviette. They are made up of many layers and one layer
is very fragile so needs careful handling all the way
through.
Some thin
PVA glue or watered down thicker type crafting glue
Water
coloured paints or H20 Paints
Stamps and
inks of your choice
Cut off the
handles and bottom of the bag and slit up one side. Lay
the serviette onto the plastic and then cut around it
leaving a generous amount around the outside. If there
isn't enough room to do that them cut off some of the
serviette.

When you
are happy with it so far spread thin PVA onto the
plastic and place the layer of serviette careful onto
the glue

Press
down with a sponge or clean cloth to wipe off the
excess. You can sprinkle some glitter onto it at this
point if you like. The crinkles are part of the effect
so don't try to remove them.

Leave to
dry thoroughly then shake off any excess glitter if you
have used glitter.
Now add
thin paint anyway that you like I used H20 paints and
just blended the colours together as I went along
keeping it all wet . When you have covered the surface
leave to dry thoroughly again.
No one said
it would be quick and it isn't.

When it is
totally dry you can have fun and stamp anything you like
on it. Be sure to stamp right up to the edges so it is
all usable.

You know
what is coming next don't you?
Leave to
dry thoroughly then use it as you wish. You can mount it
onto paper and card before using it or just stick it
straight onto your cards. The colour of whatever you
stick this onto will show through so chose wisely for
the best effect.
This is the
paper in the tutorial stuck onto medium shade purple
card. I have cut the sizes roughly for ATCS cards and
will stick them onto a stronger ATCS card to finish them
ready to swap.

It would be
lovely to see what you make so email me from the home
page if you do make anything with this tutorial and I
will put it on the page to show everyone.
Have fun
everyone
