Danes Dyke and Sewerby Park

We went on the bus to Danes Dyke then walked through the beautiful woodland path and along the coast to Sewerby Park.

There are lots of paths to chose from and we will definitely be going there often and exploring a lot more of them.

At Sewerby park they sell plants which are grown and tended by specials needs people. It is lovely to see how happy the people and the plants are together and how thrilled they are to sell you some of their plants. The prices are as lower than anywhere else and it is well worth a visit to the walled garden where the greenhouses are situated. We bought loads of plants and had to come back on the bus to town then walked home with them in carrier bags.

New hanging basket arrangement in the park

This is the raised beds section of the walled garden and Vic helped to redesign it when he went on a gardening course a few years ago. It is nice for blind people as they can touch the plants and a lot of them have a nice fragrance.

I hope you enjoyed the walk with us through this magical place
