This was written in PSP 9 but should be almost the same in PSP 8
You will need a tube of your choice or mine
here
Open a new transparent canvas that leaves room around the tube when
you copy and paste it onto the canvas
Duplicate the tube and minimise for later in the tutorial.
Effects-reflection effects-rotating mirror-default setting.
Effects-texture effects-mosaic antique-default setting.
Add a default drop shadow.
Maximise your tube that you minimised earlier
Copy and paste the tube again as a new layer and resize 85%
Add a default drop shadow.
Layers merge visible then add a new layer.
In your material palette add two colours from the tube to the boxes
of the materials palette. One dark in the foreground box and one
light in background box
In the foreground box look for the gradient -foreground -style and
size of your choice- and flood fill the canvas with this gradient.
Layers arrange send to the bottom.
Layers merge visible.
Go to eraser tool and click on the box next to presets to find a
shape for the edge of your tag-I used pointy flower for mine. The
size I used was 60 and steps 32. You may need to adjust these
settings if you use a different shape.
Click once with the eraser at the top left hand corner of your tag.
I only used half of the pattern on the tag the other was outside the
edge but you use what ever you like. Make sure that each corner has
the same place on the shape as a starting point so that the lines
are straight and the border an even width. Don't worry if the shape
does not goes as far as the corner on your next click it will fill
the missed corner when you click in the next corner.
Hold down the shift key and click at the top right hand corner and
then the bottom right and the bottom left and back to the top right.
This should now mean that you have an edge all around your tag.
Add a new layer and flood fill with the colour you will be posting
the tag on-I added dark blue as my tutorial page is blue-layers-
arrange -send to the bottom. Or you could add a frame or border if
you like.
Add a new layer for your watermark and any text.
Resize as you wish then if you have used an artists work please add
any copyright information
Merge layers and that is your tag finished.
I hope you enjoyed making it.
