Open a new transparent canvas 500x350

You will need a tube similar to mine
Flood fill this canvas with a dark colour to match your tube

With your selection tool on 'freehand selection' point to point setting-select a part of the tube to use as a pattern. I drew around where the belt is at the waist. Don't make this a rectangle as it won't give such an interesting effect

Paste this as a new image-then paste it onto the canvas as a new layer

See the screenshot if you aren't sure what I mean

Move this to the top of the canvas-layer duplicate-image flip-arrange on the canvas as you wish as this will depend on the shape you selected from the tube.
