You will
need my tube
here or
one of your own
Open a new transparent canvas 500x500
Copy and paste the tube onto the canvas as new layer.
Duplicate this layer 3 times so that you have 4 layers
with the snowman on each.
Separate the images slightly so that you can see the
effects you adding.
Click on the bottom of the snowman layers which is
called raster 2.
Have the
stroke box of the material palette black
Effects-artistic effects-hot wax coating-default setting
Click on the next layer up which should be Copy of
raster 2
Effects-artistic effects-halftone on default setting.
Click on the next layer up in the layer palette which is
Copy(2) of raster 2
Effects-Artistic effects-enamel-default setting
Leave the
top layer as it is.
You can try other effects if you like or other settings
to make different effects-it is amazing how many you can
come up with if you experiment.
Arrange the different snowman layers slightly down from
each other as I have. When you are happy with the
arrangement -layers-merge visible
Duplicate this layer twice so you have 3 of the merged
layer now-hide the top two and click on the bottom one.
Effects-texture effects-mosaic glass-default setting
Hide this layer and unhide the next layer up-click on
the layer and image mirror.
Unhide all the layers and arrange as you wish-look at my
tag if you want an idea
Add a new layer -bring this layer to the top-and flood
fill it with a colour or gradient of your choice-this
should not be too pale
Effects-illumination effects-sunburst-default setting.
Effects-image-effects-seamless tiling
Layers arrange-send to the bottom
Image-picture-frame-add one of the edge effect frames-I
used the edge design 05 for mine
If you find it cuts off some of your snowmen move them
in a bit
Image-add border-size 5 -colour of your choice.
Resize as you wish-I always resize a bit at a time-I
resized to 85% then repeated that-then go to adjust
-sharpness-sharpen
Add a new layer for your text-I found that a gold
pattern for the stroke worked well. The font I used is
called Christmas
That's the tutorial finished.
I hope that you enjoyed doing it
