Day and Night

Written in PSP X

You will need tubes similar to mine

Open a new transparent canvas 500x500

chose preset shape-diamond-line width-3-vector box checked.

In material palette have black in the foreground box and the background box null.

Draw a diamond then use the nodes at the points to pull the diamond to the edges of the canvas-just touching the edges

Layers -convert to raster and hide this layer in the layer palette by clicking on the eye at the side of the layer

Copy and paste tube 1 onto the canvas-image mirror-reduce the opacity of this layer to 20%-then copy and paste tube 2 onto the canvas-image mirror- reduce the opacity of this layer to 30%. Arrange so the heads are touching as in my tag

Unhide the diamond layer and drag to the top of the layer palette.

Copy and paste tube 2 as a new layer and drag this layer to the top of the layers palette-arrange the tube to the right of the canvas.

Repeat with tube 1 but arrange at the left of the canvas.

Hide the bottom 3 layers and layers-merge visible.

Unhide other layers

Effects-3D-drop shadow on default setting. Repeat the drop shadow but change the horizontal and vertical to minus -10

Add a new layer and flood fill with a gradient of your choice-layers -arrange -send to the bottom

Image-picture frame-I added the modern art 01 frame-adjust-hue and saturation-colorize- and change to a colour to match your gradient.

Image-add border-size 5 -colour black.

Resize as you wish. Adjust -sharpness -sharpen. Repeat the sharpen until you are happy with the effect.

Add a new layer for any text that you might like to add. Layers-merge visible
