I went with my friend Catherine to Nottingham in September 2005. It is a lovely city with lots to see and we didn't get to see half of what we had planned so another trip will have to be arranged in the future.

A lot of Nottingham has man made caves underneath and they have been used throughout history for various things. Well worth a visit and actors take you through some of the stories of the past.

There are castle grounds which are really beautiful but the castle was burnt down and replaced with an impressive building which houses museums and art galleries.

Nottingham felt almost French with its many pavement cafes and lovely shops. The people were of mixed race which added to the continental feel of the place.

Here are a few photographs in a slide show. I'm afraid the quality isn't as good as usual but I used a throw away camera as my own wasn't working. The photographs from the throwaway camera are good quality when viewed full size but they are enormous.
