You will need a tube of your choice-any size as you can resize to match the tutorial later.

The topography frame script here

Add this to your Scripts restricted file

Open a new transparent canvas 400 x 400

In your foreground material box-chose a gradient on rectangular setting-angle 0 and repeats 6

Flood fill the canvas with this gradient

Effects-texture effects-blinds-width 4 Opacity 30-colour white uncheck the horizontal and the light boxes.

Effects-distortion effects-polar co ordinates settings -rectangle to polar and edge mode -transparent

Depending on which gradient you have chosen it may be better to flip the image at this stage as some gradients produce the more interesting effects at the bottom-if yours is one of these then image-flip now.

Add a drop shadow-settings default but change the horizontal and vertical to 2 instead of 10. Repeat the drop shadow but change the horizontal and vertical to minus 2

Layers -new raster layer-flood fill with a colour of your choice then layers -arrange-send to the bottom

Layers -merge all and flatten

Now run the script for the topography frame-all you should need to do is click on ok as it is all done for you. You can experiment and change the colours if you like-there is an opportunity to do this at various stages of the script.

To run the script-look in the script menu on your tools bar then click on the arrow at the side of it the script will then start. This is in PSP 9-

Here is how you do it in psp 8-thank you Dee for doing these for me-you are a gem

to put the script toolbar up

then hit run script

find the scripts restricted folder where you put the script earlier and select the topography one

that's it. It will ask what colour you want to use, so if you have a particular colour you want to use, have it in your foreground materials box before running the script, you can even use the original gradient (that's what I did) or a pattern etc.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer-add a drop shadow of your choice. Resize the tube layer to fit in the frame

Layers merge visible

Resize and then add a new layer for any text -watermark or artists information that is required.

Layers merge visible again

If there is white in the outside edge of your frame colours then as a border size 5 in a darker colour so that it will show up better if you post it on white

That's the tutorial finished -I hope that you enjoyed it.
