Making a Serendipity Card

I was introduced to this type of card by Von and I love making them. Thank you Von

All you need to start with are lots of bits and bobs that match-scrap pieces of card, paper peel-offs or anything else that you may be throwing away will be fine.

Take a piece of paper or card to use as a base, I usually use a piece about 10x5 inches

Now all that you do is keep sticking scraps to it until you have it covered. It is up to you how much or how little you add. At this stage I usually stick it onto a bit larger piece of card as it does make cutting it easier later. When you are happy with it leave to dry thoroughly.

When it has dried I like to stamp, paint or draw on it to make it a bit different .

If your card has curled while it was drying put it under a heavy book and leave it until it straightens out

When it is as you want it to be then use it any way you wish to make a card that is truly your own and like nothing else on the planet.

Here is one I made from my 'special' card above. All I did was cut the serendipity piece of card into squares and use them in a simple way but I am sure you will have lots of ideas.

More of the ones I have made

More delicate ones made by Von

I hope you enjoy making them as much as I do
